Dossier Diabète : Informations sur le diabète de type 1 et le diabète de type 2
De plus en plus de gens que je connais sont touchés par le diabete et plus particulierement le diabete de type 2 qui touchent les personnes de 40 ans et plus, donc les retraités, catégorie de personnes a laquelle j’appartient. Étant préocupé de ma santé personnelle, j’ai effectué un peu de recherche via internet sur le sujet du diabete que je partage ici avec vous.
Qu’est-ce que le diabète ?
Le diabète est une maladie chronique incurable causée soit par un manque ou une mauvaise utilisation par le corp de l’insuline produite par le pancréas. Cette disfonction ou se manque d’adrenaline entrainent un excès de sucre dans la sang. L’insuline produite naturellement par le pancréas permet au glucose contenu dans les aliments d’être utilisé par les cellules du corp humain.
Dans le cas du diabète, soit il n’y a pas assez d’insuline de produite, ou encore elle ne joue pas sont rôle adéquatement, le glucose n’est pas transmis au cellules et s’accumule donc dans le sang avec d’être éliminer par l’urine. Àvec le temps, cette hyperglycémie ( taux de sucre trop élévé dans le sang ) entraine de nombreuses complications notamment pour les yeux, les rein, le coeur et les vaisseau sanguin.
Maglé les avancés de la science, la cause réelle du diabète demeure inconnue. Les médecins et chercheurs savent toutefois que plusieurs facteur peuvent influencer l’apparition du diabète entre autre : l’hérédité, l’obésité, certains virus, des médicaments, l’alimentation et même une grossesse.
Les types de diabètes :
- Le diabète de type 1 :
Le diabète de type 1 se manifeste principalement a l’enfance, à l’adolescence et chez les jeunes adultes. Il est caractérisé par l’absence totale de la production d’insuline. Les personnes diabétiques de type 1 doivent constament suivre l’évolution de leur taux de sucre et dépendent d’injections quotidiennes d’insuline pour vivre. Il est présentement impossible de prévenir ce type de diabète.
- Le diabète de type 2
Le diabète de type 2 quant à lui touche généralement les personnes de 40 ans et plus, donc le retraités sont particulièrement touché par cette forme de diabète. C’est aussi la forme la plus fréquente, en effet, environ 90% des personnes au prise avec le diabète sont atteintes de cette forme de diabète. De plus, depuis quelques années on remarque que ce type de diabète apparrait de plus en plus tot, touchant même certains enfants et adolescents. Le diabète de type 2 est le type le plus “traitre”. Les symptômes peuvent être minimes et passer inaperçus pendant plusieurs années. Malheureusement, quand il est diagnostiqué, le mal est fait.
En plus de l’âge, un excès de poids et le manque d’activité physique son 2 facteurs qui contribuent à l’apparition du diabète de type 2. Le diabète de type 2 est donc souvent difficile à diagnostique car les symptomes peuvent demeurer modérés et occassionnels pendant un certain temps et il est souvent alors diagnostiqué alors que le problème est plus déjà plus avancé. Des changements dans l’alimentation et le mode de vie permettent de ralentir son évolution lorsqu’il est diagnostiqué tot.
Les principaux symptomes du diabète :
Les principaux symptomes du diabète de type 1 et 2 sont parfois difficiles a déceller, car ils peuvent varier en intensité. Ils incluent :
- La fatigue et la somnolence
- une augmentation du volume des urines
- une soif persistante
- Une faim exagérée
- amaigrissement
- touble de la vue et vision embrouillée
- cicatrisation plus lente
- picotements dans les doigts ou les pieds
- changements de caractère
